For you, if you are hungry for more

The book that didn’t exist

One morning I woke up and reached for a book that didn’t exist.

After 25 years of a music career, raising three daughters, and caring for a wife with aggressive cancer, I found myself exhausted and overwhelmed. I was longing for a deeper rest and connection with God, but finding myself stuck in anxious scrolling and sentimental spaces that made my faith feel like a product.

I started exploring ancient rhythms of prayer and Scripture meditation, like The Book of Common Prayer and Lectio Divina. What I found was captivating and inspiring, but often buried in old-fashioned language and complicated systems.

I wished someone would take all these wonderful prayers and practices and put them in a single book I could just open and use.

That’s the book that didn’t exist, and that I’ve spent the past few years creating.

The Quiet Hours was made to give a simple, faithful, no-barriers entry to the most beloved personal practices believers over the centuries have developed to commune with God.

I have (along with a small and wonderful team) created these books for myself, my family, and my friends, and now I’m grateful to get to share them with you.

Over years of exploring these ancient tools I have found that slow, patient rhythms of prayer, Scripture, and quiet are deeply transformational — not from our efforts, but from what God does when we take the time to sit in stillness in his presence.

That’s a great place to start.

Praise be to God, we are not alone.

Something to hold

Are you tired of the frantic pace of the modern world? Hours on screens, constant notifications, marketing around every corner, and the endless digital scroll…

These books are a guide to a life of deeper peace and meaning. Something to hold when you need room to breathe.

Made with three questions

Is it true?

Prayers and practices the church has carried for centuries, built on foundations of Scripture.

Is it useful?

Updated, simplified, and beautiful. Ancient rhythms anyone can understand.

Is it kind?

No streaks, no guilt. You are not behind. You can begin again.

“I wanted every page to respect your time, make room for your real life, and help you bring your own story into a more honest conversation with God.”
